Youth Programs

 

We offer the following Youth Programs

• Pregnant & Parenting Teens
Comprehensive Case Management assistance is offered in the areas of Health Care, Child Care, Education, Family Planning, Housing, Life Management, Vocational Training, Employment and Entitlements

• After School and Homework Assistance
Activities address individual specific needs including but not limited to math, reading, English, science, social studies.

• Computer Literacy
Access to “state of the Art” computers are used to stimulate excitement about learning with the use of tutorial programs and academic development games. The use of technology also serve to prepare youth with quality education for the world they live in and the challenges that awaits them..

• Family Life/Independent Living Skills
Meet on Mondays and Fridays 3:00 – 6:00 p.m to focus on the role and concerns of youth in the context of the family. Activities include problem solving, values clarification health choices
problem solving, values clarification , health choices, self esteem , pregnancy prevention and avoiding risk taking behaviors.

• Pre Employment/Job Readiness
Focus is on youth who are either becoming or currently unemployed. Activities will include resume writing, mock interviews, career exploration, dress codes, job search internship and community service placements.
